AI YORI AOSHI EP 5 SERIES
This series fits squarely into the harem genre - a handful of beautiful women all throwing themselves at a quiet and shy young man. On the one hand, the characters are fun, the artwork and storytelling are fairly well-handled - Fumizuki has a knack for drawing lovely young women.
While I generally like this series, I'm not sure if I will continue with it or not. There are dozens of examples in anime and manga, Tenchi Muyo and Love Hina being so Not bad. The fan service is a little more heavy handed as well but you won’t see me complaining about that. Not high on drama in volume 2 but some cute and funny moments and it’s not quite as cringe because Aoi is as desperate feeing this time around.
We are then introduced to two new members of the harem the American Tina and the busty klutz Taeko.Ī bit more slapstick than the last volume we get to see the cast go on a club trip to the mountains and then host a club festival. This volume sees Kaoru and Aoi forced to move into a large western style house where Aoi has to pretend to be the land lady. Not high on drama in volume 2 but some cute and funny moments and it’s not quite as cringe because Aoi is a 3.5/5 The harem is starting to build.
